This family home is for a couple with four kids based in Sharjah who wanted the place to be more than a vacation home. The beautiful landscape surrounding the property and close proximity to the beach set the stage for an exquisite south Indian interior design.

The house features two different functional areas. One bay has convenient bedrooms on two different levels. In contrast, the other has a double-height formal living room and other common areas.

The unique design of the house helps it to sustain without external dependence for electricity and water. The solar panels and water collection system ensures the efficiency of the plan. Therefore, the house presents the possibility of sustainable architecture, taking over most of the homes today.

The excellent cross ventilation provides respite from the humid climate with the courtyards and open plan layout facilitating the same. As a result, the inhabitants get to experience the cool Kerala breeze even in the summers!
